For many years, the St. Clare/St. Paul’s Community has come together at this time of year to give thanks for all of the blessings in the lives of our families. One of our traditions has been to do this through a project called “The Mitten Tree”. A Christmas tree will be up at each campus and at St. Paul Church. We are asking all of our families to adorn it with donations of new gloves and mittens to give to children who may not have access to winter wear.
Over the years, many people have overseen “The Mitten Tree”. A few years ago, we renamed it to “Mollie’s Mittens” in memory of Mrs. Mollie Conway, a beloved member of our school community. Mollie oversaw this project for years and led by example in giving her time, effort, and heart to help those among us who may need a little warmth...in both body and spirit.
Please give generously and carry on the true spirit of Mollie and the holiday season!
